Susta well

Modern elevators have mechanisms that prevent the elevator from hitting the ground if the ropes break.
Including: the elevator spring that helps prevent the elevator from hitting the ground.

Calon door

It is part of the door locking mechanism in elevators. It is a device used to automatically close and open the door. The door lock is usually operated by buttons or special control systems. It helps secure the door during elevator operation and opens it to allow passengers to enter and exit.

Tow ropes

Tow rope in elevators
It is a rope made of braided steel used to suspend the elevator car and counterweight in a special way...
Rope thickness varies depending on the elevator's use. For example, rope thickness for food elevators, medical supply elevators, and commercial elevators starts at 6 mm, while 8 mm is used for lightweight passenger elevators, with slightly higher rope counts.
The rope size varies depending on the type of elevator and the weight.
How is the elevator suspended by ropes?
The elevator is suspended by a rope by attaching a single rope to the upper part of the cabin support using a special rope tensioner that is connected to suitable holes to withstand the tensile forces and weight. The ropes are then attached in the engine room in a way that passes over the engine hoist and then descends into the shaft. There, they are attached to a weight attached to a tensioner in the upper part.
How is the length of the rope calculated?
The length of the rope is calculated by placing the cabin on the top floor and the weight on the ground floor, or vice versa. In subsequent steps, the rope is tied to one of them in such a way that it passes over the engine hoist and then is tied to the other.
What types of elevators use ropes?
In general, ropes are used in traction elevators in general, some types of panoramic elevators and some hydraulic ones.

What are the consequences of increasing the length of the rope?
Excessive rope length can cause the elevator to stop on the top floor without proper alignment, as the car may stop before the floor level.
How many ropes are used in an elevator?
The number of ropes used in an elevator is approximately 3 in elevators with fewer than 4 passengers. The number of ropes used increases with the number of passengers, and can reach 6 or 8 ropes in large elevators with a capacity of up to 8 passengers.
